Richard Gray, founder of Muraldog and principal artist behind its creations has been painting large scale work since 1995. Graduating with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Newcastle University in 1992, he became an apprentice within a small company in Santa Barbara, California specialising in high quality faux finishes, where he developed his talent for large scale mural painting. He went on to work for himself on commercial restaurant interiors and fine art projects, as well as contributing to community art projects, including the annual “I Madonari” street drawing festival of Santa Barbara. Moving back to England in 1998 he started refurbishing pubs and restaurants in and around London, taking on large scale landscapes and large complex perspective views, honing his mural and faux finish skills along the way. He now works all over London and the South East and looks forward to future international projects in South America soon. A background in, and passion for fine art, coupled with interior decorating expertise ensures Muraldog can deliver all commercial / residential projects to the highest professional standard.
